Ambush Predators – An ambush predator is an animal that captures prey by hiding and using stealth and the element of surprise, rather than chasing it.

Cannibal – Someone/something who eats their own kind.

Cannibalistic – If someone/something is canniballistic, it is a cannibal

Anurophagic – Something/someone who eats frogs

Substrate – An layer/substance beneath (e.g. soil)

Aposematism – When an animal uses bright colours, sounds or smells to warn predators that they are not safe to eat.

Vivarium – An enclosure for keeping animals for study or as a pet, such as a terrarium or an aquarium.

Terrarium – A form of vivarium for small land animals, usually reptiles or amphibians.
